From $146k to $426k: New Government Filings Expose DoorDash Pay

We now know exactly how much DoorDash pays its corporate staff. According to new government filings released this week, senior leaders at the food delivery giant are earning base salaries as high as $426,000.

This data comes from 2026 visa applications. It shows a huge gap between corporate pay and driver earnings.

Big Money for Top Talent

The highest salaries go to the people building the app. The filings show that Senior Directors and Principal Software Engineers make between $330,000 and $426,000 a year. These numbers are for base pay only. This puts DoorDash on the same level as Google or Meta. They are paying top dollar to keep the best engineers.

Data Scientists Earn Six Figures

Even mid-level employees are doing well. The data lists base pay for Data Scientists and Product Managers between $146,000 and $220,000. These are the employees who write the code and manage delivery routes. Even junior analysts are starting with salaries far above the national average.

Base Pay vs. Total Cash

It is important to remember one thing. These numbers do not include bonuses. In the tech world, base salary is often just half of the total pay. The government data does not show stock options (RSUs) or yearly cash bonuses. The real “take-home” pay for these roles is likely much higher.

A hiring expert at Levels.fyi notes: “DoorDash is fighting for talent. Despite cost cuts elsewhere, they are not lowering salaries for their core engineering teams.”
